  • The title ‘nutritionist’ is not nationally regulated and often times does not require any formal education to use the title.

    To hold the title ‘dietitian’, one must complete at least 4 years of school studying human nutrition as well complete 1200 hours of supervised practice, then pass a national board exam.

    Dietitians are also required to complete continuing education to maintain registration and licensing.
